(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Amidst a number of high-profile attacks that have exploited domain name system vulnerabilities, technology heavy-weight Hewlett-Packard (www.hp.com) will be reselling Secure64 Software Corporation’s (www.secure64.com) DNS products, which address DNS vulnerabilities, simplify the deployment of DNS Security Extensions (or DNSSEC), and expedite OMB Mandates compliance, which requires every US federal government IT organization to deploy DNSSEC.
According to Secure64′s Tuesday announcement, HP signed an agreement letting it offer Secure64 DNS Signer, which fully automates DNS Security Extensions (or DNSSEC) key generation, key rollover, zone signing and re-signing processes. It will also be able to sell its other DNS product, Secure64 DNS Authority, which is a high-availability name server software product, available even during network attacks or restarts.
“HP Integrity has been our server of choice due to their unique understanding of the power of the Itanium platform,” Secure64 sales and marketing senior vice president Tom Chalk said in a statement. “HP’s worldwide sales and support organization will help Secure64 penetrate a larger client base that will positively benefit both companies’ bottom line.”
All Secure64 products will be run on the entry-class HP Integrity rx2660 and rx3600 servers, offering a cost-effective and versatile platform that offers the performance and capacity to easily handle business-critical applications and heavy-transaction workloads.
HP mission-critical business solutions vice president Jennifer Millier said Secure64′s solutions help customers, such as government organizations and telecommunication businesses, significantly improve the security of their online transactions. “The combination of highly-scalable HP Integrity servers and Secure64 DNS Signer provides an easy-to-deploy platform to mitigate vulnerabilities across the data center infrastructure,” Millier said in a statement.
