HP Hires Firm for CEO Search

February 18, 2005 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Hewlett-Packard (hp.com)said on Thursday that its board of directors appointed Russell ReynoldsAssociates to handle the company’s search for a new chief executiveofficer.

HP’s search for a new chief executivecomes on the heels of the recent departure of Carly Fiorina, who servedas CEO for five and a half years.

“We are pleased to have the RussellReynolds team in place to assist us in identifying and attracting thebest candidate for the position of HP Chief Executive Officer,” saysPatricia C. Dunn, non-executive chairman of the board of HP. “As weexpect this search to be managed with the highest level ofconfidentiality, we will not comment further until we are ready toannounce our new CEO.”
