November 30, 2007 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Australian Web hosting provider Hostworks (hostworks.com.au) announced on Friday that online dating website Partner4real (partner4real.com.au) has selected Hostworks to meet customer demand on its website, which has exceeded 12,000 visitors a day within weeks of going live.
Aimed at 24 to 39 year olds, Partner4real says it distinguishes itself in the competitive online dating space by providing social networking tools such as a “Lifelog” where members can upload on-the-spot photos and videos via their mobile phones and email, free of charge, enabling them to instantly update their profiles and reveal their true personalities and interests. Partner4real is also the only online dating site that lets members search by interest first, says the company.
“We wanted a partner, which was very reliable and had the infrastructure and managed service capability to support our growth and scalability,” says Chris McKay, co-founder and managing director for Partner4real. “We want to go international with the site during 2008, with Hostworks supporting it. We have been very happy with Hostworks to date. They are not the cheapest guy in the store, but you get what you pay for. Hostworks is the best of breed in the country.”
Hostworks also recently signed a three-year contract with Australian News Channel, the owner and operator of 24-hour news service Sky News.
