John Lee, director of marketing for Hostway, said the solution is designed to help merchants who have resisted engaging in e-commerce due to a fear over the complexity of setting and up running an online store. Merchant Manager, the company said, will help small retailers overcome this fear and create robust and customized e-commerce stores.

According to Hostway, the solution is customizable and very easy to use. ?Using Merchant Manager, building an online store is as easy as point…click…launch,? said Lee.

Hostway said that according to projections made by Jupiter Research, retailers can expect $17 billion in holiday e-commerce transactions this year. The company said Merchant Manager will allow retailers to setup online stores in time to take advantage of this market opportunity.

“With a strengthening economy, thousands of small ‘brick-and-mortar’ retailers want to reach their customers through e-commerce, but they don’t think they can get an online store set up in time for the holidays, ” said Lee. “We want to assure them that they still have time, although time is running out.”
