(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — UK web hosting provider Hostway (www.hostway.co.uk) announced on Tuesday that it continues to show support for Adobe ColdFusion Enterprise edition (www.adobe.com/products/coldfusion) through its joint sponsorship of the unofficial ‘Scotch on the Road‘ ColdFusion event as well as the official ColdFusion User Group.
Hostway says it is a Adobe ColdFusion solution partner with “over eight years experience hosting and deploying applications built in ColdFusion.”
The Scotch on the Road event will tour London on June 1st, Manchester on June 3rd, and Edinburgh on June 5th, discussing the benefits of ColdFusion, CFML, Flex and AIR through various sessions.
Founded in 1997, the UK ColdFusion User Group acts as a central information resource and networking community for all UK Adobe ColdFusion developers.
Using ColdFusion’s programming language, developers can build dynamic websites and Internet applications that pulls data from a content database and then use templates to create website pages using the content stored in your database.
“We’re very pleased to see ColdFusion gathering momentum and popularity as a mainstream enterprise development language,” says Neil Barton, director of Hostway. “We believe that combined with our enterprise-level hosting environment, ColdFusion is one of the best, most stable programming languages in the technology sector today and have firmly established our support for it over the last eight years.”
Hostway says that most of its customers, including digital agency Design UK and ColdFusion consultancy Fuzzy Orange, use ColdFusion to develop their applications.
The company provides a range of managed dedicated hosting, virtualization and colocation services, domain name registration, web hosting, web design and online marketing services.
Hostway’s US division recently launched Tango, a program designed to provide resellers an all-inclusive reseller platform for their customers.
