Hostway announced it is partnering with Parallels to offer APS integration of its flagship public cloud hosting suite, FlexCloud Server.
Web hosting provider Hostway announced Monday from Parallels Summit 2013 that it is partnering with Parallels to offer APS integration of its flagship public cloud hosting suite, FlexCloud Server.
Through this latest FlexCloud Server APS integration for the Parallels platform, Parallels ecosystem partners will be to offer Hostway’s IaaS public cloud service to both its customers and resellers.
Last week, Hostway announced it would be replacing its legacy webmail systems with Open-Xchange.
Taking advantage of an APS standard enables web hosting companies to provide cloud infrastructure and applications to a wider audience for a reduced cost of implementation.
Parallels partners and resellers can use the Automation platform to bundle FlexCloud with other services, offering on-demand cloud resources and FlexCloud’s advanced features.
Meanwhile, software vendors, resellers and system integrators can use the new solution to bundle a cloud platform with their own applications and value-added services in the cloud.
“Offering Hostway’s FlexCloud Servers through the Parallels platform provides an integrated, self-service environment that enables our partners to bundle and seamlessly deliver a catalog of cloud applications to their customers, with scalable infrastructure services as a comprehensive cloud solution,” said Todd Benjamin, Vice President of Hosted Services at Hostway. “With built-in support for sub-resellers, our partners can even leverage their own channels for VARs, system integrators and SaaS providers, enabling them to deliver additional services from their own data center.”
FlexCloud Servers marks the first Hostway APS service that is being offered to Parallels partners. The Hostway APS package will be available for downloaded from the APS Standard website when it is released in Q2.
Hostway also has plans to offer additional APS integration with Open-Xchange App Suite and virtual private servers in the near future.
