February 8, 2008 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider Hostway (hostway.com) announced on Thursday that it has launched two .asia promotions to give its customers an edge in securing the .asia names they want before land rush registration begins on February 20.
Hostway says that customers who pre-register .asia domain names that go to auction during the sunrise or land rush periods are eligible to receive three percent cash back if their bid wins the auction. This offer applies only to bids with a minimum payout of $30 under the cash back incentive, which equates to a $1,000 bid, says the company.
Also, from now until February 19, anyone who pre-registers under the land rush registration period for a .asia top-level domain name will receive a $10 rebate when the name is successfully registered, says Hostway. The regular annual registration price is $24.95 per year with a two-year minimum registration, but with the promotion customers will get the first year of registration for $14.95.
“We’re leading the industry with this .asia promotion to help our customers beat the competition for the best domain names,” says Robert Birkner, general manager of Hostway Canada. “With three percent cash back on winning auctions and a $10 rebate, the more domain names you register, the more you save.”
Earlier this week, Hostway entered into a partnership agreement with security solutions provider Alert Logic.
