Hostway has added email and collaboration solutions based on Open-Xchange to its hosted cloud reseller platform. The platform, called Cloud Connex, provides VARs, system integrators and managed service providers with a way to quickly start selling cloud services without taking on any infrastructure costs.
Hostway said its new Cloud Connex platform features integrated billing and payment processing, and gives partners control over pricing and the customer relationship, unlike other programs from AWS or Azure. The platform is currently in beta, and was first introduced in February at Parallels Summit in New Orleans. The platform initially enabled partners to resell FlexCloud IaaS.
In addition to IaaS, resellers can sell email and collaboration solutions based on Open-Xchange, while domain name registration and hosted Microsoft Exchange are features that Hostway plans to add to the platform soon.
Cloud Connex features a tiered 5-20 percent discount structure, rewarding partners with larger discounts and payouts as their aggregated monthly recurring revenue increases. The platform is a natural extension of Hostway’s other services as more MSPs and VARs look at ways to start selling cloud infrastructure to their customers.

Based on Parallels Automation, Cloud Connex billing is completely automated, and the reseller control panel gives partners centralized administration of all customer accounts.
