(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider Hostway (www.hostway.com) announced on Wednesday it has launched its Hybrid Exchange email platform.
The announcement comes off the heels of Hostway’s recent offerings, including the addition of its cloud computing infrastructure FlexCloud, R1Soft’s Continuous Data Protection software, and its new reseller program, Tango.
From now on, all new Hostway customer accounts will automatically be placed on this platform, free of charge, allowing them to customize their own email plans.
The new platform enables businesses that need the full collaboration features of Microsoft Exchange, but cannot justify the cost for every employee, to have access to Microsoft Exchange without having to pay for it for every employee.
“Using proprietary routing technology, we’ve done away with the all-or-nothing approach to hosted Exchange,” says John Lee, senior vice president of small business hosting. “Hostway’s new Hybrid Exchange helps bridge the gap between traditional POP3/IMAP and hosted Exchange email. The synergy of our new platform will allow our customers to create their own email solutions.”
Hosted Microsoft Exchange offers a corporate email platform with shared calendars, task lists and contacts plus fully synchronized mobile functionality.
Setup and ActiveSync are included for free in every Hostway Exchange plan.
The company includes its standard business email solution, SiteMail, free in all web hosting plans.
The email solution includes web access to email accounts, spam and virus filters and unlimited forwarding.
Meanwhile, all new shared web hosting accounts are automatically placed on both the FlexCloud and Hybrid Exchange Platforms, free of charge.
Hostway provides a range of services, including domain name registration, web hosting and ecommerce, colocation, managed dedicated hosting, SaaS hosting, web design and online marketing services.
