(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider HostNexus (www.hostnexus.com) announced on Thursday it is offering new virtual private server and Ruby on Rails hosting plans for customers.
Based on Parallels Virtuozzo Containers 4.0, the VPS web hosting plans start at $29.95 per month for 10GB of disk space, two IP addresses and 256MB of RAM.
The most advanced VPS plan is priced at $84.95 per month for 100GB of disk space, 10 IP addresses and 768MB of RAM.
HostNexus also introduced two new Ruby on Rails web hosting plans based on either low-cost shared web hosting or VPS web hosting plans.
The new web hosting packages use customized installations of CentOS or Unbuntu operating systems.
As a basic part of the service, HostNexus preconfigures the rails stack for customers.
Ruby on Rails hosting plans start at $8.35 per month, 3 domains, one dedicated IP address, 5GB storage space and 50GB of bandwidth.
Meanwhile, the most advanced RoR plan is $99.95 per month, and includes an unlimited number of domains, 10 dedicated IP addresses, 100GB of storage space, and 1,000GB of monthly traffic.
“VPS is ideal for clients that want to expand beyond the limitations of cheap web hosting accounts and get expanded services and control,” says Laurence Flynn, CEO of HostNexus. “Ruby on Rails is popular because it allows programmers to write less code and get more done in less time. We’ve carefully designed our new Ruby on Rails Hosting packages that reflect that same philosophy.”
Now in its eighth year business, HostNexus offers over 3,000 customers and over 100 servers.
The web host offers Dual Quad Core servers, RAID arrays, remote data backups and 24-hour support.
