February 7, 2006 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — The organizers of Web hosting industry conference HostingCon (hostingcon.com) announced the lineup of keynote speakers set to present at the 2006 HostingCon event scheduled to take place from July 17 to 19 in Las Vegas.
Monday, July 17 at 2:00 p.m., IT Leadership Academy executive director and dean Thornton May will present “Understanding and Connecting with the Future Computational Mainstream,” presenting the ideas of mainstream IT leaders. May will describe their renewed interest in hosted services, and outline what this integrated IT future will bring for Web hosting providers.
Tuesday at 10:00 a.m., the CEOs of four Web hosting companies will sit in on the panel “Lessons from the Trenches – What Works NOW,” a session moderated by technology attorney David Snead. The panelists will include Ian Andrusyk of FastServers.Net, Lou Honick of HostMySite.com, Robert Marsh of EV1Servers and Jeffrey Stibel of Interland. Each panelist will share examples of how they beat expectations for the hosting market in 2005 and how they plan to succeed in the future.
Andrew Schroepfer, president of Tier1 Research, will deliver the conferences final keynote address, “What the Other Analysts Won’t Tell You about the Hosting Industry.” Schroepfer will describe a transformation that is taking place in Web hosting, and illustrate strategies for becoming leaders of the industry that will result.
The announcement from HostingCon calls the final keynote a “must see event,” that promises to provide insights into succeeding amid the change and what tomorrow’s landscape might look like.
The keynote addresses are open to all attendees of the event.
