(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Driving its expansion into the US market, Canadian web host Hosting Nation (www.hosting-nation.net) has completed an agreement with parent company WebCom Resources (www.webcomresources.com) to acquire Hosting With Us (www.hostingwithus.com) and Domains With Us (www.domainswithus.com).
According to Hosting Nation’s Monday announcement, the acquisition will strengthen its position as a legitimate player in the North American web hosting industry, according to Hosting Nation GM Rick Lawrence.
“We have put a lot of energy into grass roots marketing efforts, but it’s always been a part of our plan to expand internationally,” Lawrence said in a statement. “This was a great way to quickly establish a presence in the US while remaining focused on our commitment to customer relationships and support.”
Finalized Monday, the deal has been in the works for several weeks.
WebCom Resources owner Elizabeth Turner said in a statement, “We are excited about Hosting Nation continuing our vision of quality service and excellent customer support. We chose them because of their focus on customer relationships and their firm understanding and long experience in the web hosting industry.”
Hosting Nation Data Inc. now operates three companies: Hosting Nation, which provides hosting and domain management services aimed at the design and development professional; Hosting With Us, which provides shared and reseller hosting; and Domains With Us, which specializes in domain services and registrations.
