HostGee's new HostGee SA facility
(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Pakistani managed hosting provider HostGee (www.hostgee.com) announced on Monday it has announced it has opened its first data center in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The announcement comes just a couple months after HostGee attained Gold Certified Status in the Microsoft Partner Program with competencies in hosting solutions and networking infrastructure solutions.
Entitled HostGee SA, the new data center adds to HostGee’s existing data center in Karachi, Pakistan, known as HostGee PK.
HostGee SA benefits from the vast network infrastructure of the Jeddah Economic City, providing its customers with a choice between two geographically diverse server locations.
The company has relocated to Saudi Arabia to supervise the development and implementation of HostGee SA and its corresponding network enhancements.
“As demand for our web-hosting service increases worldwide, HostGee SA enables us to provide more options for our customers by leveraging the massive Jeddah bandwidth hub,” says HostGee CEO and founder Shafiq Ur Rehman. “It also supports our aggressive international growth objectives. It is my privilege to personally manage this major company milestone.”
The geographic location of HostGee SA is ideally suited to meet the Web hosting requirements of both new and existing customers in the Gulf, Asia and Europe, says Rehman.
The new data center will use HostGee’s energy-efficient virtualization implementation, practice 100 percent recycling of recyclable vintage hardware components, and offset the carbon footprint by 110 percent through reforestation projects, as it does with all its facilities.
HostGee provides a range of services, including domain name registration, Web hosting and e-commerce, colocation, managed dedicated hosting, SaaS hosting, Web design and online marketing services to 80,000 customers worldwide.
The company operates over 250,191 square feet of data centers in three countries, as well as has three worldwide operation centers and more than 150 employees.
