(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider Host The Best (www.hostthebest.com) announced on Wednesday it has spun-off its shared hosting division to Enotch Technologies (www.enotch.com), letting Host The Best focus exclusively on providing software solutions for other Web hosting providers.
According to the press release, Host The Best offers nearly two dozen software products, in addition to providing custom software development services.
By spinning off the hosting division, Host The Best is able to more directly work with other web hosts in developing and implementing software solutions to solve key business challenges.
The company is currently developing several software modules that interface with the WHMCS billing system and provide greater functionality for administrators.
“For nearly five years, Host The Best has been a leader in both Web hosting and software development, but the increasing growth of our software business has made it difficult for us to maintain the level of brand clarity we need,” says Andy Candelario, director of business development for Host The Best. “We’re confident that we will be able to maintain Host The Best’s position as an innovative, dynamic provider of software solutions.”
Existing web hosting customers will now be served under the Enotch Technologies brand. The company says it does not have any immediate plans to make changes to the hosting infrastructure or standard hosting plan configurations.
Enotch Technologies / Enotch Networks currently provide shared hosting, dedicated servers, colocation, virtual private servers, and reseller services.
Founded in 2004, Host The Best develops and deploys a range of software solutions for web hosting providers and Internet users, including HTB eMail Protector, HTB Online Storage, HTB Monitoring script, and HTB Site Monitor.
