UK web hosting provider Host Surf UK announced on Thursday it has launched its new US hosting packages and services, following the introduction of Host Surf UK’s new UK cloud hosting service earlier this year.
Host Surf UK also recently redeveloped its website to be fully responsive and to make way for many new services and locations.
New Host Surf UK customers will have the option of selecting the UK or US as their server location while existing customers can decide to move their website from the UK to the US free of charge, or even add an additional location for half the regular price.
“Due to the demands of our customers, we are pleased to announce launch of our US based web hosting,” Host Surf UK CEO Louis Marcus wrote in a short email sent to clients. “Currently clients looking to switch location can do free of charge or add an additional location with 50 percent off for life.”
The company says it will continue to provide the same affordable shared and reseller hosting services as it currently does in the UK to customers from its colocation data center partner, PhoenixNAP.
Host Surf UK decided to partner with PhoenixNAP because Phoenix is considered one of the ideal locations in the US, relatively safe from natural disasters like hurricanes, tornadoes, catastrophic hail, major flooding and earthquakes.
“With the United states already hosting 42 percent of the top million websites, we believe the US to be the perfect choice for us,” said Marcus. “Finding a data center, however, was a more challenging task. Compared to the UK, the US has a wider variety of natural disasters to worry about. In the end we choose, PhoenixNAP. The US is just the first step in our plan to roll out new locations.”
Host Surf UK is also currently looking at Amsterdam as an additional server location, however, it has no plans yet for Asia at the moment.
In addition, Host Surf UK is set to start a consultation with its clients to help decide which location Host Surf UK should next host from.
