Host Europe Group, the parent company of several web hosting brands in Europe including Heart Internet and 123-reg, announced on Thursday that it has acquired SaaS marketing platform Sign-Up.to. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

The Sign-Up.to platform offers businesses tools to run email, SMS and social media marketing campaigns. It also offers integration with more than 250 services including Salesforce, WordPress and Facebook.

Privately owned by its founders Matt and Charles McNeill, Sign-Up.to has a team of 25 employees, and has two offices in Working, Surrey and Brisbane, Australia. Sign-Up.to specializes in email marketing solutions for small and mid-sized businesses.

GoDaddy, one of the biggest SMB hosting providers in the US, acquired a similar service last week. GoDaddy acquired Mad Mimi for an undisclosed amount to replace its legacy product called “Email Marketing.”

With the acquisition, Sign-Up.to will be able to expand its business in the UK and Germany by taking advantage of Host Europe’s reach in those markets. Host Europe has been building out its customer base in Germany through acquisitions, acquiring German domain registrar and web host domainfactory last year.

“Both companies are committed to working together to help our small business customers achieve the very best results,” Host Europe Group CEO Patrick Pulvermüller said. “As we launch our new SaaS initiative, Sign-Up.to’s expertise will be invaluable in helping our customers grow their businesses.”

The long-term plan is for the companies to integrate and provide marketing services. Existing Sign-Up.to customers will not be impacted by the acquisition, according to Host Europe Group, and will be able to access hosting services. The acquisition will also give Host Europe Group access to new customers, including developers, marketing agencies and publishers who already use Sign-Up.to’s services.

“Through Host Europe Group, we have the potential to reach a much larger customer base and to enhance both Sign-Up.to and Host Europe Group’s offerings,” Matt McNeill, founder of Sign-Up.to said. “By combining our proven and established team with Host Europe Group’s range and resources, we’ll be able to help our customers succeed online in a new and improved way.”

In April, it was rumored that iomart turned down an acquisition offer from Host Europe, causing its stock to jump 7.5 percent.
