Verio Attracts Resellers with Free Month of VPS Hosting: Companies looking to boost revenues are finding Verio's Free VPS promotion the right fit for getting started as Hosting Reseller.

October 21, 2004 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Private-label Web hosting supplier Hostopia (hostopia.com) announced on Thursday that it had begun a buy-back program for outdated servers, in an effort to encourage hosting providers to move customers onto Hostopia's managed service. The program will offer up to $2,500 for a Sun Cobalt RaQ server appliance, or other similar equipment.

"Since Sun Microsystems announced end-of-life for many of their Cobalt appliances, hosting providers have begun replacement planning for an upgraded platform," says Hostopia president Franc Nemanic. "However, many have sunken capital costs in servers that they feel must be paid back to justify their move to Hostopia. Our server buyback program makes the transition to our services easier and accelerates our partners' timeframe to get sites onto our enhanced, updated platform."
