(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) – Web host NaviSite (www.navisite.com) announced on Monday that it Post-n-Track Corporation (www.post-n-track.com) will use NaviSite’s managed cloud services to deliver its collaboration platform to a community of healthcare organizations.

A provider of a cloud software-as-a-service program, Post-n-Track enables healthcare organizations to communicate transactions and information securely and reliably.

“We chose NaviSite because it was the best cloud infrastructure platform to support our SaaS delivery model, and working with NaviSite for the past five years, we were well versed with their quality and service capabilities,” Randy Ulloa vice president said in a statement.  ”After demo-ing the cloud platform and seeing the rich feature set that included virtual adapters, virtual load balancers, cloning techniques, and customized templates, we felt it was the best possible platform for delivering our products and services to customers.”

Ulloa says that with NaviSite’s usage-based billing model the firm anticipates a savings in 20 percent per month.

“Never taking security for granted, we had our security advisors conduct a vulnerability assessment against our cloud environment, and NaviSite’s NaviCloud platform passed with flying colors,” Ulloa added. “Also, NaviSite’s security measures have enabled us to take advantage of the horsepower that NaviCloud offers while retaining  storage of protected health information in our physical environment, as required by HIPPA regulations.”

This is not NaviSite’s first foray into the healthcare field. In February, the web host migrated an Illinois medical clinic to its cloud infrastructure.

At the beginning of the year, NaviSite was acquired by Time Warner Cable for $230 million.
