Harte-Hanks Debuts Service Provider Database

March 17, 2003 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Customer relations management firm Harte-Hanks Inc. (Harte-Hanks.com) announced on Monday that it has launched a specialized database, known as the Harte-Hanks Service Provider Database, profiling 1,300 ISPs and ASPs.

Harte-Hanks says the database was developed by the company’s market intelligence team, and tracks contact names, business demographics, technology infrastructure and contact information on 1,300 North American Internet service providers (ISPs) and applications service providers (APSs) for a variety of traditional software applications, as well as Internet-related and data services applications.

“These are the survivors. E-business is alive and well, and recent consolidation among Internet service providers has created new opportunities and new names to know,” said Terry Olson, managing director, market intelligence, Harte-Hanks. “Since 2000, we’ve seen businesses across the board increase their reliance on service provider companies for such needs as critical data transfer, storage and movement.”
