Green Cloud Technologies has appointed Dan Sterling president of the company.
Cloud services provider Green Cloud Technologies announced on Monday it has appointed Dan Sterling president of the company.
The announcement comes just a couple weeks after Green Cloud Technologies expanded its presence in Florida by opening a new office in Tampa and hiring two new sales executives.
Like sales executives Stephen Rieck and Greg Eckley, Sterling is also a former Windstream executive and telecom industry veteran.
As president of Green Cloud, Sterling will oversee and manage the company’s sales, marketing and field support operations.
He is charged with developing sales and marketing strategies for Green Cloud’s industry-leading disaster recovery solution and furthering the company’s market growth through a network of channel partners.
“Dan brings great energy and passion to this key leadership position,” said Shay Houser, CEO of Green Cloud Technologies. “He has a wealth of leadership experience in the telecom channel and his strategic sales and marketing acumen will have an enormous impact on the company’s future.”
Sterling previously served as vice president of channel sales and channel chief at Windstream, formerly NuVox Communications, for more than 14 years.
He is a career veteran of the communications channel. He has received many accolades, including 2009 Channel Partners magazine Channel Executive of the Year, Channel Executive of the Year Finalist in 2010 and 2011, and 2012 United Way Mentor of the Year.
Green Cloud has seen rapid growth in the last six months, with market expansions in Charleston, South Carolina, Nashville, and Tampa. During this time, the company has also added 17 executive management and support personnel positions.
In addition, Green Cloud recently saw a 70 percent quarter-over-quarter sales growth.
