July 15, 2008 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) – Google (google.com) has expanded its plan to allow any qualifying domain host worldwide to integrate Google Webmaster Tools directly into their hosting accounts and help users optimize their sites for Google searches.
Announced Tuesday, the Google Webmaster Tools Access Provider Program helps users identify problems with their pages by allowing users to see pages the way Google sees them. It helps users ensure all pages are properly indexed and shows which search words lead visitors to the page.
A handful of web hosting providers such as Go Daddy (godaddy.com) and ePresenceSolutions (epresencesolutions.com) offered Google Webmaster Tools as a pilot project to its own customers starting in November 2007.
“Go Daddy knows firsthand how important it is to be ranked high in Google’s search results,” product manager Stacey Christiansen said in a statement. “We wanted to help customers using our hosting solutions be more successful when it comes to SEO and search engine marketing.”
Using Google’s application programming interface, domain hosts can integrate the new tools directly into their own services so that their webmasters are only a click away from the free tools we offer. Hosts can sign-up online and there is additional information on the campany’s website about compatibility with other Google services.
