Verio Attracts Resellers with Free Month of VPS Hosting: Companies looking to boost revenues are finding Verio's Free VPS promotion the right fit for getting started as Hosting Reseller.
September 17, 2002 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Domain name registration company Go Daddy Software (GoDaddy.com) said on Tuesday that it has solved a prominent privacy problem with the launch of its new Domains By Proxy private domain name registration service.
The proprietary and patent pending domain registration and email handling systems used by Domains By Proxy, says Go Daddy, eliminate the need for the personal information of individuals who register domain names to be displayed publicly in the WhoIs database.
Personal information included in the database, says Go Daddy, is often used in spam email, mass marketing, junk mail and identity theft. Many users attempt to shield their personal information by providing inaccurate or incomplete information.
Go Daddy says its Domains By Proxy service allows law abiding individuals to provide complete and accurate information to Domains By Proxy, which registers the name on the customer?s behalf, placing Domains By Proxy?s contact information in the WhoIs database. The customer?s personal information is protected, and they maintain the full benefits of ownership through contractual agreements.
