November 15, 2007 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Domain registrar and Web hosting provider Go Daddy (godaddy.com) announced on Thursday it has partnered with Research In Motion (rim.com) and integrated Go Daddy email accounts with BlackBerry Internet Service, enabling quick and easy access to email on the go.
“This ideal solution allows our customers to be away from their computers and more easily communicate by email,” says Bob Parsons, Go Daddy CEO and founder. “We want to make life easier for our customers and this integration with BlackBerry email certainly does the trick.”
Combined with Go Daddy Web-based email, the integrated service enables users to send and receive their email using a BlackBerry smartphone. As users read and delete email messages from either the smartphone or the Go Daddy Web-based email, the message status is synchronized between the BlackBerry smartphone and the Go Daddy mail box. Email messages sent from the user’s BlackBerry smartphone will be displayed in their ‘sent’ folder online.
Once an email account is setup with Go Daddy, BlackBerry users can enter their username and password on the handset and the BlackBerry Internet Service will be able to automatically synchronize with their Web-based account. BlackBerry smartphone users will receive an alert letting them know new email has arrived.
Go Daddy announced yesterday it hired aftermarket specialist Adam Dicker, who has operated DNForum for four years.
