Go Daddy Ranked Among Best Local Arizona Workplaces

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Shared web hosting giant Go Daddy (www.godaddy.com) reported this week that the company had achieved its sixth consecutive listing among the “Valley’s Best Places to Work,” according to the local Business Journal.

According to Wikipedia, the Phoenix metropolitan area is sometimes referred to as the “Valley of the Sun,” an area that includes Mesa, Scottsdale, Glendale and Tempe. Headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, Go Daddy employs more than 2,400 people, most of them in locations throughout the Valley.

The “Best Places to Work in the Valley,” according to Go Daddy, is an annual raking based on employee surveys that measure retention rate, manager effectiveness , team efficiency, alignment with company goals, trust in senior leadership and trust in coworkers, as well as a few other performance categories.

Go Daddy says it has been named to the list every year since 2004. Some of the company’s efforts at morale-boosting include prizes for top performers that include mortgage payments for a year, cars, motorcycles, vacations and trips to the company’s “cash-blowing machine.”

“I learned long ago, happy employees make for happy customers and that’s good business,” saysGo Daddy CEO and founder Bob Parsons, quoted in the press release. “We always want Go Daddy to be a fun and rewarding place to be — that’s why we offer such an outstanding employment package.”

Go Daddy says it currently has more than 100 jobs open right now, in customer support, engineering, development and marketing. The announcement describes perks that include subsidized means, team-building outings and “outstanding health benefits.”
