(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Domain registrar and Web hosting provider Go Daddy (www.godaddy.com) announced on Wednesday its upcoming Super Bowl television ad will once again feature IndyCar racer and Go Daddy spokesperson Danica Patrick.
The company is currently previewing the ad via two teaser clips uploaded onto the Go Daddy site.
In one the clip, Patrick is dressed as Marilyn Monroe in the cinematic skirt-blowing-up scene from The Seven-Year Itch.
Another clip shows her reprising the role of Jennifer Beals in the shower dance routine from Flashdance.
At the end of both clips, viewers are encouraged to watch the new Super Bowl trailer and rate it, with the promise of “more ads coming soon”.
These is no word yet on whether the company will carry out a similar pre-Super Bowl ad campaign as last year, where it invited the public to vote on which two censor-approved Go Daddy commercial would air during the Super Bowl XLIII.
Last year’s ad, which also featured Danica Patrick, was the “Most Watched”, attracting more viewership than any other spot, according to TiVo results.
