August 23, 2005 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Domain registrar and Web hosting provider Go Daddy (godaddy.com) announced on Tuesday that it would give away a free Economy Email account for free with any domain name purchased, transferred or renewed.
Go Daddy’s Economy Email account is valued at $9.95 and comes with 25 MB of storage, phishing and virus protection, spam filtering and optional “catch-all” functionality.
The company says that with the service, customers will no longer have to search for a Yahoo! or Hotmail email account name that is not yet taken. The Economy Email accounts give customers an easy-to-remember email address, their own domain names and access to various other free email services.
