August 4, 2005 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Domain registrar and Web hosting provider Go Daddy (godaddy.com) said earlier this week that it had selected DomainsBot (domainsbot.com) to provide domain name suggestion technology for its Web site.
The technology, delivered through an XML feed, provides Go Daddy site visitors searching for domains with related, alternative suggestions that match their original query. Go Daddy says customers often register many of the related domains.
“The ability to find the right domain name is good for both the customer and the registrars, since better suggestions lead to more registrations,” says Max Ralli, CEO of DomainsBot.
Go Daddy says customers will benefit from higher quality domain searches and a wider selection of domain names.
Bob Parsons, CEO of Go Daddy, says the implementation of the technology was uncomplicated, and took just one day.
