September 30, 2004 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Domain registrar and Web hosting company (godaddy.com) announced on Wednesday that it has acquired Innerprise, a privately held company specializing in the development of information cataloguing and searching software.
Go Daddy says it will integrate Innerprise’s operations into the Go Daddy headquarters in Scottsdale, Arizona, integrating Innerprise’s search products, including Enterprise Search 2004 and Innerprise Hosted Search, into the Go Daddy product catalogue. The deal will expand Go Daddy’s line of Web development tools, which already includes domain name registration, hosting, email systems and SSL certificates.
Innerprise’s search software provides allows users to index, catalogue and search the Internet, a corporate Intranet or a corporate Web site for information. Go Daddy also plans to use the Innerprise software as the foundation of a new information management product line to be offered in the fourth quarter of 2004.
