GNi Opens Data Center at Herakles

May 17, 2006 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Managed service provider Global Netoptex (gni.com) announced on Wednesday that it has set up a new high-security data center for Fortune 500 clients in Herakles Data’s (heraklesdata.com) 92,000 square-foot facility in Sacramento, California.

GNi says it incorporates multiple ISPs, redundancy, burstable support, fail-over, recovery and 24-hour customer support to maximize uptime and provide reliable service for applications.

“We are extremely pleased GNi selected to colocate in our data center,” said Lou Kirchner, president and CEO of Herakles. “We’ve known the company for years and their track record as an excellent provider of managed services can only enhance our own reputation as the premier data center in the Sacramento area.”

GNi provides a single point of contact for all its services, which include managed services, Internet security, cabinets, cabling, subcabinets, load balancing and onsite tech support for SAN storage services.
