May 18, 2007 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Managed hosting provider Global Netoptex (gni.com) announced on Thursday that its president and CEO will present a session entitled “Making the Impossible Happen” at the Interop Data Center Summit in Las Vegas, Nevada running from May 20 to 25.
Derek Wise will focus on data center and server efficiency utilizing high performance networks and hardware designed for ultra-dense computing environments. Wise will also compare blade and rackmount servers and the power and management costs associated with each technology. His presentation is scheduled for May 21 at 11:30 a.m.
Prior to the session, Wise is scheduled to co-present a session called “Ensuring Data Center Reliability for Mission-Critical – and Mission Impossible – Applications” with Chris Dolan, CEO of 365 Main. Together they will discuss the data center infrastructure required for modern, large-scale server deployments where power, scalability and network connectivity are growing concerns.
GNi also recently acquired long-term partner Online Game Services in a deal valued in excess of $3 million, enabling both companies to provide pay-as-you-grow game hosting solutions to the online games industry.
