Globix Provides Web Hosting for Beazley

September 7, 2005 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider Globix (globix.com) announced on Tuesday it has signed a three-year contract to provide managed Web infrastructure and security services for online services provider Beazley Group (beazley.com).

The agreement includes the company’s corporate Web site, beazley.com, and beazleytrade.com, an online e-trading platform for specialist insurance products. Beazley is a specialist underwriting business that focuses on writing specialty-risk insurance and reinsurance business in selected markets.

Beazley decided to go with a specialist managed hosting provider to ensure the high service levels required for such a comprehensive online platform. After looking at numerous suppliers, Beazley chose Globix to deliver the service. The move is just the first development phase in Beazley’s ongoing expansion plans for its e-trading platform.

“We chose Globix because of its ability to deliver a complex Web infrastructure consisting of various technologies within a short time period,” says Dominic Shine, Beazley Group CIO. “Given Beazley’s continuing expansion into the US market, Globix’ extensive peering network is a strong advantage, commercially and geographically.”
