Globix Launches Managed Hosting

February 6, 2006 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider Globix (globix.com) announced on Monday that it had introduced managed hosting services in the US.

The company says its managed hosting service is built with best of breed hardware, security, storage and monitoring services. Globix says it is committed to helping customers lower IT costs, mitigate risk and improve agility. The new services employ x86-based HP ProLiant servers.

Basic managed hosting configurations will include a server, firewall, operating system configuration and installation, server hardening, patch services and backup and monitoring. Add-on services include application management, additional systems and network management, security audits and intrusion detection.

“Globix Managed Hosting allows customers to leverage the power of the Internet while focusing on their core competencies,” says Pete Stevenson, CEO of Globix.  “At the heart of this service are best practices, policies, and procedures combined with professional technicians trained to address the strategic infrastructure challenges our customers face. We provide peace of mind, keeping customers informed of the day-to-day health and maintenance of their environment.”

Globix says it has certified its engineers on the HP ProLiant servers.
