Globix Acquires Aptegrity

October 6, 2003 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Globix Corporation (globix.com) said today it has entered into an agreement to acquire Aptegrity (aptegrity.com), a managed services provider that focuses on Web-based applications. Under the terms of the agreement, Globix will acquire substantially all assets and assume specific liabilities of Aptegrity.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The company said that adding Aptegrity’s operations is a key component of its continued evolution into a full-service managed applications and hosting provider.

“This acquisition will unite the people, processes, tools and facilities to deliver on the promise of managed application services for enterprises,” said Pete Stevenson, CEO of Globix. “Aptegrity has the processes and applications expertise to meet the needs of enterprise clients for complex applications, regardless of where the application is hosted… together we expect to offer our clients the ability to choose where and how they have their mission-critical applications managed and hosted.”

Aptegrity has offices in New Jersey, California and the United Kingdom.

“Clients today are looking for managed application partners that provide more depth and capability,” said Carlo Cella, president and CEO of Aptegrity. “By bringing Aptegrity together with Globix, we meet that demand.”
