Globalwebbrands Focuses on Virginia

April 16, 2007 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider Globalwebbrands (globalwebbrands.com) announced on Monday it will be re-focusing on marketing its services exclusively in its hometown of Richmond, Virginia and ceasing its international growth.

The company says it will be keeping all of its existing international customers, but believes a local focus would be advantageous for the future, especially with targeting small local businesses. Globalwebbrands currently offers Web hosting to such local figures as Steve Martin, a member of the Virginia Senate.

“The Central Virginia region is underserved and generally uneducated when it comes to Web hosting services,” says Daniel Briere, founder and president of Globalwebbrands. “While there are Richmond-based providers of Web hosting in existence, their services tend to be geared more towards larger companies. We’re offering something that is optimized for smaller businesses that might be new to the Internet and want the personal service that a local company can provide.”

Globalwebbrands also recently announced it has discontinued its $200 per month Terabyte Web hosting plan to make way for new service offerings.
