April 30, 2002 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web content authentication and security solution provider Gilian Technologies (gilian.com) announced on Tuesday that it has expanded its distribution in Japan through a new partnership with CTCSP Corporation.
CTCSP, says Gillian, is a subsidiary of Japan?s largest reseller and integrator of technology, CTC, Itochu Techno-Science Corporation, and Itochu Corporation, one of Japan?s largest trading firms.
The company will distribute Gilian?s G-Server Web content security device, providing protection for enterprise Web sites in the Japanese marketplace.
The G-Server, says Gilian, is designed to ensure that organizations won?t lose time, money or credibility at the hands of malicious internal or external Web attacks. Using ExitControl technology, the device checks outbound information from a Web server against a security certificate, and replaces fraudulent data with authentic, cached information, ensuring a site?s authenticity and availability.
“Hacking and Web site sabotage are growing threats for corporations worldwide,” says Aviram Margalith, CEO of Gilian Technologies. “Partnering with CTCSP is a win-win situation, bringing Gilian’s best-of breed technology to an aggressive, sophisticated market, while providing CTCSP with solid return on its technology investment and strong value to their existing customers.”
According to the terms of the agreement, CTCSP will resell the G-Server to its customer base of financial, medical, publishing and technology firms. Gilian says these industries are among those in which the company?s products have received traction in the US.
