(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — In the last keynote presentation of WebhostingDay 2010, Daniel Eisenhut, head of international business development for InterNetX discussed the opportunity of “Generating new business through innovative domain registration”.
The brief presentation lasted just under 15 minutes, which kicked off with a basic background on domain management provider InterNetX.
The Germany-based company offers 300 cctlds and gTLDs, is the largest DENIC member, and as of December 2009, manages about 35 percent of all .DE domains.
He talked a bit about the differences between gTLDs and ccTLDs, the main difference being that gTLDs are registered almost in realtime, whereas ccTLDs need additional documents or data.
Eisenhut then discussed InterNetX’s own services, including AutoDNS tool, which lets users manage their domains via an update wizard.
He also highlighted the company’s transfer management service, which lets users create a single or a bulk transfer order, as well as its redirect management service, which redirects domains and email addresses, and domain name generator, which lets users quickly check on all the available gTLDs and ccTLDs.
