February 25, 2002 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Gambit Communications (gambitcomm.com), a provider of network simulation tools, today announced today MIMIC IOS Simulator 5.30 will be available in the first week of March.
MIMIC provides users with a ?virtual lab? populated with thousands of Cisco and other manageable devices, such as routers, switches, hubs, cable modems and workstations. Training providers can use the tolls to provide their students with portable, real-world network environments to learn and practice different IOS commands. MIMIC?s provides up to 10,000 devices on a single platform, normally impractical for a work environment.
