Fuscan Platform Offers Support for Control Panel cPanel/WHM

Users of SingleOS’ Linux-based cloud Platform as a Service, Fuscan (www.fuscan.com), will have a new control panel option for their cloud deployments thanks to the integration of Linux web hosting control panel cPanel/WHM (www.cpanel.net) and the Fuscan Enterprise Hosting Automation platform.

Fuscan Linux Cloud consists of three different software levels: LBC, VDC and EHA, which together create an enterprise hosting automation platform, which SingleOS claims is “the most affordable Linux based cloud platform” in the market. According to developer SingleOS in its Monday announcement, Fuscan EHA will let web hosts and service providers use cPanel/WHM control panel on the cloud.

“Fuscan deploys extremely fast, thus saving financial and human resources,” said SingleOS chief technology officer Stoyan Marinov, who is also the software architect of the cloud automation platform. “It takes less management effort compared to any other enterprise hosting system on the market because it runs the same software versions across all nodes and features consistency of all software configurations. Using Fuscan businesses can build private or public clouds and automate the management of their IT infrastructures.”

Fuscan lets web hosts, content providers, and other SaaS providers to easily build private and public clouds, and automate the management of IT infrastructures. Additionally, web hosting companies using Fuscan LBC-based enterprise hosting infrastructures can now provide their customers with highly available, load-balanced e-commerce hosting delivered from the cloud.

Fuscan LBC is a load-balanced, shared root cluster, which features software-level redundancy (with transparent service failover) and hardware level redundancy (with interconnecting clusters). It is naturally scalable and can be easily deployed of physical or virtual nodes. Fuscan’s load-balancer automatically detects new IP addresses added in cPanel and configures the load-balancing for the services running on those IPs. In case of compute node failure the load-balancer excludes the failed server from the operational group of processing nodes.

Fuscan EHA also enables hosting providers to create their own cloud infrastructures to provide cPanel/WHM cloud hosting services in a load-balanced clustered environment, optimizing server management and cutting operational costs.

A beta version of SingleOS’s Fuscan Linux Cloud was released prior to HostingCon 2009, and SingleOS started signing new partners in February 2010, eventually signing 14 agreements with hosting providers by June 1.
