Comodo says the chip’s scheduled first-quarter launch is especially relevant to Microsoft’s Palladium project, a secure operating system designed to work with a new breed of hardware and applications, giving individuals and groups greater data security and personal privacy. Comodo says the SIDEN chip could contribute to making Palladium a commercial reality.

“Both Comodo and Fujitsu Components have recognized that hardware based security is essential for secure use of computers for both business and home users.” comments Melih Abdulhayoglu, chief security architect with the Comodo Group. “The SIDEN Trust Chip is a unique device that not only brings unparalleled hardware based security, but by making security affordable, removes the barriers usually associated with using hardware based security.”
