May 5, 2004 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — European colocation and data center services provider TeleCity (telecity.com) announced on Wednesday that FreeIX (freeix.net), an Internet exchange point in France with 75 members, will house its network and hosting infrastructure in TeleCity’s data center facility in Paris, France.
“We are delighted to have signed this partnership contract with TeleCity,” says Monsieur Stefani, technical manager of FreeIX. “TeleCity’s increasing strength and customer base in Paris made it the obvious choice for our expansion plans.”
According to TeleCity, FreeIX is the second largest Internet exchange to colocate in its Paris data center. With the addition of FreeIX, TeleCity now hosts four Internet Exchange points in Europe – LINX in London, AMSIX in Amsterdam, DE-CIX 2 in Frankfurt and FreeIX.
