(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — As the latest addition to its Windows-based web hosting plans, managed hosting provider Fpweb.net (www.fpweb.net) is offering a high-powered web analytic tool, SmarterStats Enterprise Edition, for an extra $10 per month providing customers with in-depth website statistics.
According to Fpweb.net’s Thursday announcement, SmarterStats by SmarterTools (www.smartertools.com) lets Fpweb.net clients custom tailor web reports, drill down to pertinent data and identify traffic trends to improve online usability.
“The majority of today’s businesses rely on their websites for sales and profitability,” Fpweb.net chief executive officer Rob LaMear said in a statement. “For this reason, they need to understand their current web traffic and identify trends to make improvements.”
Launched in August, SmarterStats 4.x can differentiate between automated Spider and Bot traffic from actual user visits according to Phoenix-based SmarterTools. This feature, the company said, is unavailable from conventional script-based services including Google Analytics, giving customers a realistic view of site popularity especially important to Web marketing and SEO.
The Enterprise Edition of SmarterStats, which Fpweb.net offers, includes additional features for custom emailed reports, automated diagnostics and other functionality.
In a similar move, web hosting provider DiscountASP.NET (www.discountasp.net) added SmarterStats to its offerings in June.
