(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Data center operator Fortrust (www.fortrustdatacenter.com) announced on Tuesday it has partnered with data center relocation services provider E-Oasis (www.datacentermoving.com) to provide a relocation services resource to prospective and current customers.
Migrating services to a colocation provider or switching providers all together can be a difficult and often overwhelming undertaking for a business, particularly for those companies that have a larger IT infrastructure.
As a result of this new partnership with E-Oasis, a company that specializes in moving data centers, Fortrust can now offer a cost-effective relocation resource that ultimately compliments its existing portfolio of colocation and managed services.
Fortrust will be able to offer E-Oasis’ data center relocation services, which includes comprehensive planning, minimal disruption to operations, dedicated project management, reduced financial risk, and successful transition to a new environment.
“Moving IT infrastructure from one data center to another can be an extremely complex and time consuming operation,” says Rob McClary, vice president of Fortrust. “A data center move, if not planned and executed correctly, can lead to unnecessary downtime, escalating costs, and potential business interruptions. We want to be able to provide our customers the resources they need to mitigate downtime and manage costs when moving into our world-class data center here in Denver.”
The partnership is part of Fortrust’s ongoing growth strategy.
In October, Fortrust completed its $30 million Denver data center expansion project bringing its raised-floor colocation capacity to more than 48,000 square feet.
Whir TV was recently given a tour of Fortrust’s data center by McClary.
