(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Data center and colocation services provider FORTRUST (www.fortrustdatacenter.com) has partnered with data center hosting and managed IT services provider Consonus (www.consonus.com) to enable both company’s customers to use both providers’ data center and colocation facilities for geographically diverse disaster recovery and business continuity options.
According to the announcement Thursday, customers of either company can now colocate their IT infrastructure at FORTRUST’s SAS70 Type II audited data center and colocation facility in the Denver metropolitan area, as well as Consonus’ three data centers in the Salt Lake City area as well as more than 20 other locations across the United States

We are well-positioned to meet the demand of our customers and Consonus customers for premium colocation facilities and diverse locations for their disaster recovery and business continuity needs.”
Located in one of the nation s lowest risk zones, FORTRUST’s Denver data center offers Consonus customers a data center located in a low-risk area that is sheltered from major natural disasters. Denver and Salt Lake City, located in the western region of the US, are separated by approximately 350 miles, establishing a geographically diverse footprint for increased resiliency.
