FatCow Deploys Brightmail Anti-spam

May 14, 2004 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider FatCow (fatcow.com) announced on Thursday that it has deployed the Brightmail anti-spam filtering solution across its system.

“This represents a major victory for us and our customers in the war against spam. We wanted to ensure that we not only provide our customers free spam protection regardless of cost, but also give them the very best solution the industry has to offer,” says Jackie Fewell, CEO of FatCow. “The combination of Brightmail’s anti-spam software and a dedicated hardware mail gateway was the answer.”

FatCow said the anti-spam solution is being offered free of charge to its 28,000 customers. Since Brightmail’s deployment, FatCow has seen the system route and tag 200 million unwanted messages.
