F-Secure, Gartner Schedule Webinar on Integration of Wireless Devices into Security Solutions

November 23, 2001 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — F-Secure (f-secure.com) today announced a seminar focused on the security aspects of incorporating wireless devices into the enterprise. The provider of data security for mobile devices will conduct its interactive Web-based seminar with research firm Gartner Group(gartner.com), on Nov. 28.

Entitled “Incorporating Wireless Devices into a Complete Corporate SecuritySolution,” and offered free of charge, the seminar will feature John E.Girard, vice president and director in Gartner’s research organization, andIlkka Starck, executive vice president, North America, F-Secure Corporation.

Today’s increasingly mobile companies are becoming more concerned withprotecting information sent over wireless and Internet connections to remoteand mobile employees, business partners and customers. This session examinesthe security issues, technologies and practices that will impact thesemobile e-businesses. The goal of the seminar is to inform attendees how toboth minimize security risks and understand the process and technologiesinvolved in securing ever-expanding corporate security. Specifically, itwill answer such security concerns as:

Where does conventional knowledge about security fail when mobility isintroduced?What are the top threats to security and privacy in the mobile industry?What will be the best practices enterprises should follow, and what arethe worst practices they should avoid?

To be presented online with a simultaneous teleconference, the corepresentations, each approximately 20 minutes in length, will be followed byquestions from the audience.
