June 28, 2004 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Email hosting provider Excedent Technologies (excedent.com) announced on Monday that it has selected Rackspace Managed Hosting (rackspace.com) as its managed hosting provider.

As a leader within our respective industry, we wanted to align ourselves with a partner that will be around for the long term to help us keep an availability promise to our own customers.”
Bill Boebel, CTO of Excedent, said Rackspace’s hand-on support was a key selling point that precluded consideration of a colocation provider.
