EuroTrust Sells Hosting Subsidiary to Mondo

October 22, 2003 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Information security provider EuroTrust A/S (eurotrust.dk) said today it has completed the sale of its hosting subsidiary EuroTrust Secure Hosting A/S to Mondo (mondo.dk), a Danish IT company.

EuroTrust Secure Hosting was created in 2001 after Digiweb was merged with DHT Hosting ApS. At the time, the company was unprofitable.

“I am very pleased with the outcome of our strategy regarding EuroTrust’s hosting activities. We carried out the necessary adjustments a few years ago and today we are able to sell a profit generating company,” said chief operating officer Brian Mertz Pedersen. “By ensuring a strategic alliance with Mondo to market our security products we are able to continue positioning EuroTrust as a leading security company.”

Eurotrust said it was exiting the hosting space in order to concentrate on its core information security businesses.

Mondo, according to EuroTrust A/S, has a strong focus on the Web hosting market. “The costumer portfolio of EuroTrust Secure Hosting is well suited for the business model of Mondo and will significantly enhance our volume,” said Anders Christian Andersen, managing director of Mondo.
