Brady Rafuse, euNetworks CEO designate.

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — European networking provider euNetworks (www.eunetworks.com) recently announced it has named Brady Rafuse to CEO designate while company founder and CEO Noel Meaney concentrates on his role as executive chairman.

Meaney, who has been the founder and CEO of euNetworks since 2002, announced that he will focus primarily on leading the company’s strategic corporate development.

He first assumed the role of executive chairman in early 2008.

Under Meaney’s direction, euNetworks has transformed from a start-up infrastructure company in 2002, to a “successful, EBITDA profitable and fast growing pan-European communications company,” according to the press release.

Rafuse is the former president and CEO of European operations for Level 3, where he managed the company’s European content delivery business.

With over 20 years experience in the telecoms industry, Brady has also served as head of commercial operations for Concert, a joint venture between AT&T and British Telecom.

“I am delighted to welcome Brady Rafuse to the company as CEO designate,” says Meaney. “Brady brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience that will be very important to euNetworks as it enters a new period of growth.”

euNetworks provides high performance networking solutions, serving large European corporates, carriers and service providers, particularly those in the finance and media sectors.

The firm says it delivers its services over a “wholly-owned, billion euro all-fiber optic network connecting the major economies of Europe.”

euNetworks owns 15 metropolitan networks throughout Europe, connected with a high-capacity backbone.

Headquartered in Frankfurt, euNetwork is initiator and a member of euro-one (www.euro-one.com), an organization of fibre optic network providers that deliver infrastructure and  networking solutions connecting Eastern, Central, Western Europe and North America.
