February 13, 2007 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Service enablement and automation software provider Ensim (ensim.com) announced on Tuesday it has upgraded its unified service delivery platform Unify, including support for the Microsoft solution for hosted nessaging and collaboration, Windows-based hosting technology, Microsoft connected services framework 3.0 and a new resource selection policy feature.
Ensim Unify now delivers increased functionality and support for Microsoft’s HMC solution, such as Windows Server 2003 R2 and SQL 2005, and the Microsoft Provisioning System 2.2. It also offers many additional services like RIM’s BlackBerry and BroadSoft’s BroadWorks that are not available as part of the HMC solution.
Customers can now launch the complete suite of Windows hosted services, while enabling additional applications, such as VoIP, Unified Messaging and mobility services, to be centrally delivered. Unify can also be installed over an existing HMC deployment.
“Ensim’s in-depth expertise in enabling hosted Windows-based services combined with the extensibility of the Unify platform enable us to sign up new customers and deploy and manage add-on services more quickly and efficiently,” says Calum Malcolm, chief technology officer at Siemens Solution1. “We are excited about the added functionality and new features of Unify 3.2.”
