October 8, 2008 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Hosting software provider Ensim (www.ensim.com) announced on Wednesday it will be demonstrating its Ensim Unify Enterprise Edition, Version 2.5 platform at TechMentor Conference (http://techmentorevents.com/2008/lasvegas/default.aspx), held October 13 to 17 at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas.
TechMentor Conference instructs attendees on the techniques and strategies to automate, design, migrate, manage, secure, optimize and control Microsoft Windows server systems.
Topics to be discussed at the conference include automation and Windows powershell, proactive Windows management, virtualization, Windows security, auditing and compliance, Exchange server administration, and Windows technologies.
The new Ensim Unify Enterprise release enables enterprises to simplify and automate common IT tasks, such as provisioning, password management, role management, and auditing and compliance of Active Directory servers, Exchange and mobility applications through a secure web-based management portal.
Last week, Ensim signed a reseller partnership agreement where email and instant messaging compliance provider Messaging Solutions will sell and support Ensim Unify Enterprise Edition to its global enterprise customer base.
The latest Unify Enterprise release is one of many updated products the company has launched this year. In May, Ensim introduced Unify Active Directory Manager 2.5, followed by the June release of Ensim Unify Password Manager 2.5.
The latest edition of Ensim’s Unify Enterprise platform is designed to use IT policy to standardize user provisioning and access control for Active Directory, MS Exchange, and mobile device infrastructure including BlackBerry and Windows Mobile.
Available as individual tools or a complete suite, Unify Enterprise provides a turnkey solution that enables IT provisioning policy to be centrally and securely implemented from a web-based user interface or configurable self-service portal, significantly reducing downtime caused by misconfiguration.
Ensim Unify Enterprise 2.5 features include fine grain role delegation, simplified policy-based provisioning, customizable provisioning policies, the ability to change and audit logs, enhanced alert notification capabilities, and support for multiple domain controllers.
